Austin reports biggest hiring growth in U.S.

Austin employers stepped up hiring 6.6 percent last month, the most growth nationally, according to a recent report.
Job search engine released on Friday its May employment trends outlook, which found hiring slowed in most cities nationwide in May. Cities decreased job postings an average 2.6 percent from April to May, the report said.
A vast majority of cities — 32 of 50 — reported less openings last month compared with April, while another nine locations experienced less than a 1 percent increase. Austin was ranked first for growth followed in order by West Palm Beach, Fla. (6.3 percent) and Albuquerque/Santa Fe, N.M. (4.1 percent).
